El uso del Internet es vital en la actualidad y para el periodismo es una herramienta de uso diario, ya sea para obtener información o divulgación de la misma.
La cultura se abraza fuerte ahora con el Internet, y claro a este hay que sacarle provecho, como lo hicieron reporteros de Centroamérica. El pasado miércoles 7 de octubre la “Red Centroamericana de Periodistas Culturales”, hizo oficial el lanzamiento de su Web de difusión de información cultural.
La actividad sirvió también para debatir ciertos temas ligados con la cultura y el uso del Internet.
Uno de los puntos importantes del conversatorio fue el auge de los blogs, medio que indudablemente crece como la espuma, especialmente en periodistas.
Este medio es un vía para dar a conocer nuestras opiniones, noticias o aspectos que queramos dar a conocer a los cibernautas.
La cultura se ha dejado de lado en la mayoría de los medios de comunicación de Costa Rica, y precisamente “Red Centroamericana de Periodistas Culturales” llega a darle valor a la información de índole cultural.

¿Serán los blogueros los nuevos periodistas?
Este fue uno de los aspectos discutidos en el conversatorio del pasado miércoles, ya que muchos colegas aprovechan el medio para desenvolverse profesionalmente debido al acaparado campo laboral.
El blog es una buena manera de desahogar sentimientos, de demostrar que tanta cultura poseemos y podemos desarrollar.
¿Qué tan cultos somos los ticos? ¿Qué tan informados estamos sobre temas culturales? ¿Nos comunican los medios lo que necesitamos saber como cultura?
Pero hay una pregunta aún más importante, ¿Qué tan grande es el público que quiere informarse sobre cultura?
No se puede juzgar a los medios de comunicación por no tocar tan seguido aspectos culturales, la misma sociedad costarricense ha creado su propia “cultura”, y dentro de esta no está la cultura, al menos en la mayoría de costarricenses,
